Emaration · Outreach & Community Support

People make the world great.

We build and support technology that puts humans 100% first — using AI to bring people back to one another, and back to the natural world.

Why we exist

Technology is at its best when it brings us closer.

We are grateful to live in a moment where technology is making new things possible. But the point was never the technology. The point is the people it connects, the independence it returns, and the time outdoors it gives back.

Emaration uses artificial intelligence the way it should be used: quietly, in service of people. Humans stay in front. AI carries the weight behind them.

Three beliefs

What “humans first” looks like

Everything we make answers to one test: does it make a real person's life better?

Independence

Assistive technology that helps people with vision and hearing loss move through the world safely and on their own terms.

Connection

Tools that keep people connected to the people they love — because no one should feel alone in a crowded room.

Nature

Technology that hands time back — so we can step away from the screen and return to the natural world.

The heart of this

Jordan's story started it all.

Our co-founder, Jordan Remington Williams, has navigated vision loss and profound hearing loss. He is also an inventor and an advocate. One near-miss on a dark Portland street became the idea for a cane that lights up — so the people around you can see you coming.

I don't feel like I've had to overcome anything. I just do things.— Jordan Remington Williams, Co-Founder & Director of Outreach

A mission with money behind it.

Our charitable arm funds, builds, and shares assistive technology for people who need it. It is structural, not symbolic.
